Larry's Bio

Larry worked at Hobart and Corning after graduation.  He traveled all over the United States and had visited every state except Washington.  Larry's favorite trip was one he made with Herb Wooddell when they went to California for three weeks.  They stayed at Herb's parents home during their visit and visited Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon and Mexico.

Larry loved the game of baseball and in school would amaze his friends and classmates with his knowledge of major league players and teams.  He turned his love of sports into community service and coached Little League Baseball and Pee Wee Football for forty one years.  In 1989 Larry was hired as assistant baseball coach by Bradford High School, a job he continued until forced to retire in 1994 due to poor health. Larry said that,
"Coaching at the high school level was a dream come true".

Larry was recognized for his many years of community service in 1998 when he was inducted into the Bradford Athletic Hall of Fame.
