Richard's Bio Richard began working for Hartzell Propeller, Piqua, while still in his senior year of school. and he continued that employment for 44 years. He rose through the company and retired at age 62 while working in the Hartzell Engineering Department. Richard married his high school sweetheart, Irene Carey, on February 26, 1955. Richard and Irene have three children, Steven, Barbara and Kevin and they have six grandchildren. He was a volunteer fireman in the Bradford Fire Department for 22 years and loved it. Richard was also a Lion's Club member and he enjoyed traveling to their conventions. Although he didn't take up the game of golf until the age of 50, Richard enjoyed playing with his friends and his wife, Irene. Richard enjoyed the trip they made to Alaska following retirement and he also loved Colorado. |
